Dad's Day

Toby was super excited to do something special for his Dad on Father's Day, so he created a unique Treasure Hunt.
Steve had to follow the map and find the ingredients to his favourite slice.

Once all the "treasures" were found, Toby set to work to produce Steve's favourite Weetbix Slice

The finished product worked well, a bit tough, but edible all the same....

Lachy came over for the day while Selena & Greg were working and getting ready for their Annual  Ram sale. Davy and Lachy had a great day getting into all sorts of mischief.......

Not shy of the camera this one....

Sports Day

On Friday we travelled off to Frances to take part in the Interschool Sports Day between Frances, Padthaway and Mundulla. In fine sunny spring weather the kids competed against each other in athletic events scoring points for their school.

Other events Toby did were 50m Sprint, Vortex (javelin), Shot Put, and 1 lap Oval run.
Toby was also the runner for Yr 1 in the R-7 Relay

Frances were the overall winners for the day, with Padthaway winning the R-7 Relay

A great day of healthy competition and great sportsmanship between the small schools

Queensland Trip #2

July came and it was time for another trip to Queensland - this time with the whole family in tow.
The Heinrich Reunion in Caloundra was our destination, we packed the car and borrowed a camper trailer and off we set.....

seeking out some warmer weather - we just followed the sun.....

Our first day of fun was at an Adventure Playground where the kids could run, ride, skate, play and so much more! Whilst the big boys, aka Dads & Uncles, went burning rubber at a nearby go kart track

For lunch we headed to a nearby park where we all got together and caught up on the past 3 yrs

Sunday was Beach Day. We packed up and drove to Mooloolaba where we enjoyed fish & chips & sand & sun!

Davy- always happy on a beach

Feeding the masses

It wasn't quite warm enough for adult swimming but kids? Definitely!

Steve building and playing trucks with the boys

Warren & Fi were kind enough to let us extend our rental on their patch of lawn. Whilst everyone else disembarked and headed back to their respective properties, we stayed on for a few more days and checked out the local attractions

Tuesday we hijacked Charlie and went off to see Steve Irwin's Australia Zoo

Checking out how it all started

Bones...

The WHOLE reason we went to the zoo was to see the Crocodiles! The Crocoseum show was great and all the boys loved it!

Having a bite of lunch before the show starts

A massive bird, a vulture i think ?!? Anyhow, the biggest bird species in the world

Wednesday we headed back to Mooloolaba and spent the morning at Sealife Underwater World

The next day we packed up our campsite and headed back to the chilliness of South Australia - oh yay.......
