Toby's First Day of Kindy

We had one very excited little man as the day had finally come for Toby to start Kindy.

All grown up

After a big day the walk home from the bus stop was ...l...o....n...g....

Fun Times

With just a few days until school & kindy start up, we headed down to Kingston to catch the last few rays of holidays

Mr Helpful Toby

Cheeky monkeys

With a bit of determination Toby has successfully done away with his training wheels on his big bike.
There is no stopping him now, hours have been spent out the front of our house on the harder ground perfecting the start, ride & turns. No longer can I just walk with him riding - I need to be on my bike as well!

Toby wanted to practise his riding with a ride to the lighthouse, we are very lucky to have such a nice smooth path to ride on

Off he goes

Made it!
Only a couple times did I have to run to catch up! And Toby was very courteous to other path users - he would quickly pull over and stop in the side to wait for them to go past.

Holiday Fun!

With the January holidays on for young and old, it was time to make the most of our family time together!

Down to the farm boat lake for a quick dip

Beau munging on a strap - mmm tasty.....

Leyla has a better option - juicy pear.......mmmm

Shark!?! Where??

Uncle Matt the Captain of his 'ship'

Down to Kingston to help cool down away from the heat at home

Ready for a dip in the ocean

Cake time for Matt's birthday

Just something we whipped up for the occasion....

As we have for the last couple years, we get together and celebrate Matt's, Relle's and Old Pa's birthday with a family tea. Last year the cake was centred around Relle, this year it was Matt's turn - so what better thing than his trusty truck. Although we were a few short in the celebrations due to a bug of a gastric kind, we still enjoyed the company of the few healthy ones....

Even loaded with the odd bale of hay and a few sheep.
(The licorice slice is for Relle.)

Sisterly love......

Narelle had organised to have a catchup morning with Aunty Merri, knowing Leyla isnt forgiving in missing her sleep, Relle decided to set Leyla up at my house for this. But as poor Kara came down with the dreaded gastro, Relle thought it would be best to take the boys for the day -and also set them up at my house......so 6 kids later my morning was set.

Beau over looking the proceedings....

Felt like I was back at work once again - but give me 6 kids over 30 any day!

LOVE my sandpit!

Nonetheless I was given my reprieve when Relle had the boys while I worked at the pool a few days later. xxxx

Present of the Night award went to Aunty Relle, Uncle Sami, Alara & Leyla

The next morning was B day and it was time for the main attraction and presents from Mum & Dad

A new Bike & Kindy Bag, with some clothes as well

testing out the new wheels

Out to the farm for a play and another cake as well!
One birthday, two cakes, a little boy's dream!

Ambulance visit

Seeing as we had visited Uncle Sami's fire station, next on the list was Kristen and the Ambulance

Fixing a 'broken arm'

Checking out the drug stash...

Making sure Kristen's blood pressure was good.

So out of the Emergency List.....
Fire - Check
Ambulance - Check
Police - stay tuned......."yoohoo Uncle Tom....."

Christmas 2012

When Christmas comes along every year we all go together and watch the kids perform the Christmas message at Church. This year Toby, Jack, Lexie & Alara got to join in the fun and dress up as Shepherds and Angels.

Shepherds watching over their 'flock'

Christmas morning came and it was time to open the presents. Toby was out the gate early but had to be held back to wait until Beau woke, what a morning to pick for a sleep in Beau!

Pa Pete with his special crew

Over to Ma ma & Pa's for some slip sliding fun
